We are thrilled to announce that your swimming pool is about to undergo a $1.5 million renovation! This project has been in the works since before COVID-19, and thanks to the loyalty and continued support of members like you, it is now becoming a reality. You and our swim lesson families deserve the best, and we are proud to bring significant upgrades to the pool at your club.
Project Timeline & Upgrades
The pool will close on April 20th, with renovations expected to take approximately five months. Here’s what’s coming:
New roof system – More natural light, less glare, and improved energy efficiency. New non-slip pool deck – With floor drains to prevent puddling. Four new individual pool shower rooms – Each equipped with a shower, toilet, sink, and changing space. Upgraded pool plumbing – Maximizing surface skimming and water cleanliness. State-of-the-art water sanitizing system – Combining Ultra-Violet light with our Saline system for best-in-class water quality. Resurfaced pool interior – For a fresh, modern look and improved durability. New permanent on-deck changing spaces – For added convenience. New on-deck rinsing shower – For quick, easy access. New ADA-compliant pool lift – Ensuring accessibility for all members. Upgraded lighting and ventilation – Including new uplighting and an enhanced air exhaust system.
We have partnered with S3 Design, an architectural firm specializing in health clubs, and Counsilman-Hunsaker, the industry leader in aquatic projects, to bring this vision to life.
Stay Active While the Pool is Closed!
During the renovation, we encourage you to take full advantage of everything Plymouth Fitness has to offer. To make the transition easier, we’ve developed a plan to keep you fit and having fun:
Complimentary Personal Training Session – Work with a trainer to develop a personalized “dry exercise” routine. Cross-training now means you’ll return to the pool stronger than ever!
Expanded Group Exercise Classes – We’re introducing special classes for our “Plymouth Aquatic Society” members, maintaining the same days, times, and instructors from our water fitness program. Stay active and connected with your community!
Special Events – Enjoy wellness lectures, tastings, contests, and other activities designed to keep you engaged and informed throughout the renovation.
V.I.P. Status for Swim Lesson Families – Before the pool reopens, current swim lesson families will receive early access to register for group lessons and priority scheduling for private lessons.
